About Us

Our expansive clubhouse, with its high ceilings and light-filled spaces, is the heart of Four Seasons, offering many amenities, activities, and opportunities to exercise and socialize. Residents can relax by a large fireplace in the lounge, settle down with a book in the library, drop by for a game of pool in the billiards room, or spend an afternoon playing cards, from bridge and Canasta to Mahjong, Pinochle, and poker. There’s also a book club, a writers’ group, a craft group, and a group for quilters and those who work with fibers. Morning coffee groups are popular, as are happy hours, ice cream socials, evening potlucks and catered dinners, public talks, and festive holiday events in the ballroom.

The clubhouse regularly features displays of works by Four Seasons artists and hosts musical entertainment by local groups and the Ragged Ramblers, our own inhouse band. The state-of-the-art fitness center includes a range of various kinds of exercise equipment, a yoga/aerobics room, a large indoor pool with a luxury spa bath, and well-appointed changing rooms furnished with showers and salon-style lockers. The hiking group meets weekly to explore trails throughout the area, and other groups also enjoy short excursions to cafes, orchards, and flower farms.

Shopping and services for daily life are conveniently located, along with a wide range of cafés,  grocery stores, restaurants, golf courses, and top ranked medical facilities (UVA Health, Sentara Martha Jefferson), as well as Charlottesville’s flourishing arts and culture scene. The University of Virginia and world-renowned historical sites like Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and James Madison’s Montpelier are nearby, as are many wineries and vineyards, farmers markets, antique galleries, and arts and craft shops.
